These are the photographs of a incredibly successful work party carried out by The River Crouch Conservation Trust on Sunday 20th April 2014. The team pictured below removed an astonishing amount of rubbish from the river. Many thanks to our new volunteers Joanne Williams and her two sons, Simon and Robert. Thanks also to the church members from Kingdom Hall who allowed us access to the church grounds to load up the rubbish. From memory, 16 shopping trollies, most of which had to be dug out of the silt, enough car parts to almost build a car, lots of tyres, including one from a lorry, an excercise bike, enough cones to cause a traffic jam and much more. Take a look at the pictures. The work carried out was based on a survey that took place on April 14th.
